Taking an ethical and responsible approach that is in the best interest of our patients underpins our daily activities, and is core to how we approach our business. It always has been, and remains an important priority for us.

In the Community
Shire is strongly driven by a desire to enable Canadians lead better lives and to contribute positively to the health of the communities where we live and operate.
Our employees play a key role in our community efforts to support different charitable causes.
Another way Shire helps is by providing financial support to not-for-profit associations and other organizations who work hard at driving initiatives focused on health education or that are meant to improve the health and wellbeing of Canadians in the therapeutic areas where Shire has a presence.
Examples of organizations that Shire support include the Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders (CORD), the Canadian Hemophilia Society, the Centre for ADHD Awareness, Canada (CADDAC), the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, Crohn's and Colitis Canada (CCC), to name a few.
